Benefits of Bikes

Cycling and mountain biking remain as popular as ever – and there’s a reason so many people choose this kind of exercise to improve their cardio health, lose weight, and so much more. The benefits that cycling can offer are many, and you can bring these benefits indoors with a high quality, comfortable, modern exercise bike from Stamina Products. Keep reading to find out more about the benefits of bikes, or take a look at the wide range of indoor bikes that we have to offer.

The main benefit of an indoor exercise bike is that it offers cardio workouts of variable intensity, whether you’re looking to improve your overall health, or are more focused on something like weight loss. Having a bike indoors means you can work out whatever the weather, and can take the time to safely watch TV, movies, listen to music, podcasts, audiobooks, and more.

An added benefit is also that cycling generally is low impact. While many of the same benefits can be found in jogging or running, cycling causes less wear on your knees, ankles, and other joints. This has obvious long-term benefits, but also means you can comfortably work out for longer. This is ideal for anyone with joint or muscle issues, offering the opportunity to exercise with less pain and discomfort.

Upright or Recumbent?

Stamina Products offers both upright and recumbent options for our bikes. But, what’s the difference? And is one better than the other?

Upright bikes are designed to mimic the classic cycling experience, modeled after a more typical bike or mountain bike that you would use outdoors. Upright bikes take up less space, provide an additional workout to your upper body while you pedal, and engage your core to round-out your workout.

Recumbent bikes are designed to offer more comfort and support; you sit with additional back support while you pedal. You won’t have to use your core to support yourself, but you’ll still get the same lower body workout as you would with an upright bike. That’s why your fitness goals will really determine if recumbent is right for you. Other benefits include the larger seats, which means more comfort for longer sessions, and a more relaxed position.

The Stamina Design

Stamina is dedicated to both fitness and comfort. We don’t just want you to be fit – we want you to enjoy working out. This means that along with effective workouts, we also believe in taking care of your body — your muscles, your joints, your bones, and everything that connects them together.

We don’t just offer standard stationary bikes. Our line features bikes with upper body pedals, desktops, and even a recumbent/rowing machine combo. Through innovative and focused design, we offer a range of bikes and other equipment to help you improve and maintain your fitness level while also looking after your body to make sure those benefits last. Take a look at the variety of upright and recumbent bikes we offer below.
