- Hi, I'm Shauna Smith Yates and today I'm gonna be taking you through a core workout on your Spine Corrector by AeroPilates. This workout is going to stretch and mobilize your spine but we're really going to work your core muscles that are going to support your spine to prevent pain. You can do this either with your hands behind your head, if you feel like you need to support your neck or you can follow me with your arms making a circle. You're going to inhale, take the low back into the barrel, bring the arms overhead, come all the way over the barrel, as far as you're comfortable then nod your head and then roll back up. You're gonna come back to that Z position with your legs and this time, you're gonna put your hands at the front of your forehead. You're going to inhale to rotate your spine. Now, you're gonna take your hands to the barrel, you're gonna exhale flex, pulling yourself over towards the barrel, keeping your abs engaged. Lengthen your spine, bring your hands back to your forehead, rotate away from the barrel and then exhale flex your spine towards your legs in this direction. Elbow underneath your shoulder and really keeping your shoulder neck relaxed. Your top hand can be on your barrel for support or if you're feeling really comfortable and wanna challenge you balance, you can put it on your side. We're gonna start with just your top leg first. You're gonna inhale to lift it up and exhale to pull it down. It's lift up, point the foot, flex the foot and pull it down.
